Anderson Arts & Well-Being Inc. (“us”, “we”, or “our”) may provide professional services (the “Professional Service”) to individuals and/or groups.
This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Professional Service governed by the Alberta College of Social Workers in the Province of Alberta, Canada.
Collection, Protection, Disclosure and Use of Information
While using our Professional Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) may include:
- First and Last Name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Financial Information (for example: Credit Card, Billing Address, etc.)
The above information will be used in activities such as registering for the Professional Service and to process paid transactions. We may also use this information to contact you during the provision of the Professional Service. We may collect other Personal Information from you, as needed, depending on the nature of our interaction with you, but in each instance we will provide the opportunity for you to decline the collection of same with the understanding that you then may not have access to certain activities on the Professional Service.
We do not share your Personal Information beyond our own employees and contractors within the duties of provision of the Professional Service, except as outlined below in the section Service Providers, or as required when properly authorized or obligated legally, including but not limited to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Anderson Arts & Well-Being Inc., third parties, or the public at large.
If you are a registered user of the Professional Service and have provided an email address, we may send you emails that describe new features of the Professional Service, solicit your feedback, keep you apprised of the products and activities of Anderson Arts & Well-Being Inc., or provide you with marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. You will have the opportunity to unsubscribe from such emails at any time by clicking Unsubscribe in the email. No identifiable health information will be communicated by email in order to protect confidentiality.
We agree that your Personal Information, including your name, even if displayed publicly by you in comments or replies, will be treated as confidential by us and not further shared by us unless either in writing or another text-based electronic format, you have provided consent to use your Personal Information for a particular agreed upon purpose (for example in a testimonial). You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your Personal Information at any time with the caveat that your ability to access the Professional Service may be limited if you do so.
Your Personal Information will be stored in a secure manner using password protected and encrypted data management software or, if required, in portable printed or electronic form in a locked cabinet with limited access at the corporate headquarters. Retention of Personal Information will be governed by the privacy regulation that governs the specific activity, being one or more of PIPEDA, PIPA in the Province of Alberta, or the Alberta College of Social Workers, as outlined in the Standards of Practice, all of which are publicly available online for your review.
As per the ACSW Standards of Practice, Sec D.4, (d), we are required to maintain professional records for 10 years following the last entry for a professional service. As a client of the Professional Service, you may request to access your record at any time within the 10 year retention period by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail at Anderson Arts & Well-Being Inc., PO Box 746, Lamont, AB, Canada, T0B 2R0.
We may collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Professional Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Professional Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. The Professional Service may release or publish non-identifying Log Data in the aggregate from time to time.
Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive.
We use “cookies” to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Professional Service.
We may employ third party companies and individuals (“Processors”) to facilitate our Professional Service, to provide the Professional Service on our behalf, to perform Professional Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Professional Service is used.
Processors may have access to your Personal Information, but only to perform the above tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Processors that we may use to provide our Professional Service to you include but may not be limited to:

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, and we take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of Personal Information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the case of a security breach with regard to your Personal Information, we will attempt to notify you within 72 hours of our becoming aware of the breach as per the mandatory breach notification requirement of the GDPR.

Our Professional Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
